Responsibilities

  • As the primary point of contact for a critical cloud-based system, analyze, configure, and monitor the system as necessary.
  • Responsible for ensuring critical SLAs are met.
  • Assist with the development of comprehensive solutions for collecting, analyzing, and acting on telemetry data from applications and the Azure resources that support them.
  • Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis of solutions architected in Azure or AWS.
  • Assist with system architecture of existing and new cloud-based systems.
  • Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients.
  • Plans and implements upgrades of operating systems and other relevant systems.
  • Develops documentation for new and/or existing systems.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
  • Provides system training and technical guidance for utilizing cloud computing resources.
  • Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Technical Skills and Qualifications

  • 6+ years of applicable experience in a systems administrator or similar role
  • 2+ years of applicable experience with cloud-based administration (Azure, AWS, Google, etc)
  • Experience and understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Automation, and Orchestration
  • Hands-on hardware/software/network troubleshooting
  • Understanding different backup and disaster recovery approaches in the cloud
  • Experience writing effective PowerShell scripts and markup language files such as XML, JSON, and/or YAML
  • Experience with monitoring tools, such as Application Insights, Azure Log Analytics, NewRelic, Nagios, Solarwinds, Dynatrace, Retrace, etc.
  • Experience with PKI systems and SSL/TLS Certificates management
  • Experience with Azure Resource Templates, Virtual Networks, Storage, Virtual Machines, and Azure Active Directory
  • Deep understanding of firewalls, NAT, NACLs, Load Balancing, DNS, DHCP, and packet filtering
  • Microsoft product expert including, Windows Server 2012-2016, Azure, Office365, Group Policy, Active Directory, WSUS, OS Deployment
  • Expert hypervisor knowledge, preferably Microsoft Hyper-V experience

  • Location: Dumfries, VA

  • Education: Associate (2-year) degree, Bachelor (4-year) degree preferred in the field of CS or IT

Job Responsibilities:

As a Sales Executive, you will identify potential clients, engage prospects, and close IT service contracts. You will be responsible for planning and organizing your day, including proposal writing, making presentations, and prospecting for new clients in order to ensure productivity and achievement of goals.

Additional responsibilities:

• Prospecting for new clients via telephone, networking, door to door, trade shows, referrals and more
• Engaging prospects by identifying their needs, presenting solutions, and building trust
• Generating business to set sales goals to ensure quotas are met
• Negotiating and closing sales utilizing proven closing techniques
• Identifying and reaching key decision makers
• Attending business to business functions to network for new potential clients
• Finding and overcoming common prospect objections and asking for the sale
• Contributing to marketing plans and activities
• Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

Typical Job Duties Include:

  • Provide initial point-of-contact support for all technical issues.
  • Provide clear, understandable documentation on troubleshooting steps and solutions.
  • Willingness to accept and give technical assistance to both internal and external contacts.
  • Willingness to continue your technical certification path of choice.
  • Taking and giving directions, both clear and to the point.
  • Taking a project and completing it correctly in a timely manner.
  • Availability to go on-site to support any IT-related device that cannot be handled remotely.
  • Availability for an on-call rotation lasting 1 week.

Required Technical/Non-Technical Competences:

  • 2+ Years as an IT Support Specialist
  • 2+ Years experience with Active Directory
  • 2+ Years experience with NTFS Permissions
  • Proficient in computer systems interconnections (i.e. USB, Network, RS232, etc.)
  • Proficient in all Windows OS (both workstation and server)
  • Proficient in technical terms (i.e. DNS, IP, WAN, bandwidth)
  • Above Average customer service skills**
